Senior Electrical Engineer – PCBA Schematic & Layout

About the role

Saronic Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in PCB schematic and layout to lead board‑level design for high‑reliability maritime systems. You will own the full design lifecycle, from concept through production, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive digital, power‑based, and occasional analog PCB designs from requirements to production.
• Create and maintain schematics, component selections, block diagrams, BOMs, netlists, and manufacturing documentation.
• Perform placement, routing, DFA/DFM reviews, prototype testing, and documentation.
• Work closely with mechanical engineers to integrate PCBs into enclosures.
• Lead prototype bring‑up, debugging, and testing; firmware/software bring‑up is a plus.
• Conduct signal‑integrity, power budgeting, thermal, and EMC/EMI analyses.
• Interface with fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve build issues and improve quality.
• Participate in design and peer reviews and support ITAR/export compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional PCB schematic and layout experience.
• Strong problem‑solving, documentation, and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Altium Designer or equivalent EDA tools.
• Multi‑layer board design, high‑speed or mixed‑signal circuitry.
• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT).
• Signal integrity, power budgeting, thermal analysis.
• EMC/EMI compliance and environmental robustness.
• Familiarity with MIL‑STD, IPC‑610, IPC‑6012 standards.
• SPICE simulation and reliability analysis.
