Senior EEG Technician

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a Senior EEG Technician to ensure accurate performance of EEG tests and support patient care. The role involves preparing patients, operating and maintaining EEG equipment, and collaborating with physicians to deliver high‑quality diagnostic data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform EEG tests as ordered by physicians, including patient preparation, equipment setup, and calibration.
• Monitor patients during testing, record observations, and ensure data integrity.
• Analyze test data, report results to physicians, and maintain accurate patient records.
• Supervise equipment maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and perform minor repairs.
• Maintain a clean work area, implement quality‑control procedures, and adhere to university policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant EEG technician experience.
• Certification in the relevant specialty or field.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Commitment to confidentiality, detail‑orientation, and the University’s core values.
