Senior Director, Procurement & Strategic Sourcing

About the role

Shake Shack is seeking a Senior Director to lead its U.S. Procurement and Strategic Sourcing organization within Supply Chain Management. This executive will drive operational excellence across sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and category management for food, beverage, packaging, and key operating categories.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supplier strategy, sourcing, selection and risk management to secure products that meet specifications, quality standards, and competitive pricing.
• Oversee end‑to‑end procurement processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP) and category spend management to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, using performance metrics and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality Assurance, Culinary Calendar, Commercialization, Distribution and Logistics to ensure supply continuity and support new product development.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing procurement team, establishing KPIs aligned with strategic, operational and financial goals.

• Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑functional projects and influence executive stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical and critical‑thinking abilities with strong data interpretation skills.
