Senior Director, Neurology Patient Marketing

About the role

This senior leadership position will drive patient‑focused marketing for a first‑in‑class therapy targeting Becker muscular dystrophy, a rare neurology disease with no current treatment options. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will shape the U.S. patient and caregiver engagement strategy, creating innovative, patient‑centric campaigns that raise disease awareness, accelerate diagnosis, and support long‑term treatment adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and lead the patient marketing vision from pre‑launch through lifecycle management.
• Develop and execute high‑impact disease‑state awareness and branded patient campaigns for Becker muscular dystrophy.
• Define differentiated patient value propositions and champion the end‑to‑end patient journey.
• Design omnichannel engagement strategies with Digital Marketing and scale patient‑ambassador programs.
• Build strategic alliances with patient‑advocacy organizations and translate patient insights into brand strategy.
• Lead launch readiness workstreams, patient activation frameworks, and segmentation‑driven engagement.
• Set and monitor KPIs, manage budget, and drive ROI of patient‑facing initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience.
• 7+ years of patient or consumer marketing experience, with proven rare‑disease product launches.
• Experience in neurology and rare‑disease therapeutic areas strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work with patient‑advocacy groups and manage agency relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
