Senior Director AI Security

About the role

The Senior Director AI Security leads the enterprise AI Security program, reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer. This executive is responsible for defining strategy, governance, and risk management for AI technologies such as Generative AI, Large Language Models, and autonomous systems, while enabling responsible innovation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the AI Security strategy, operating model, governance framework, and multi‑year roadmap.
• Establish AI security standards, policies, reference architectures, and secure development requirements.
• Lead AI security risk management, including model governance, third‑party assessments, inventory, threat modeling, and regulatory compliance.
• Build and manage the AI Security organization, including hiring, mentoring, budgeting, and operational execution.
• Partner with technology, architecture, legal, privacy, procurement, and business leaders to securely enable AI adoption.
• Oversee AI security architecture reviews, secure design approvals, and security assessments for AI initiatives.
• Monitor emerging AI threats, adversarial techniques, and regulatory changes, adjusting strategy as needed.
• Develop enterprise standards for acceptable AI usage and AI model governance processes.
• Create AI risk assessment methodologies, metrics, and executive dashboards.
• Represent Information Security on AI governance committees.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in cybersecurity and AI security programs.
• Strong ability to collaborate with executive, legal, privacy, and business stakeholders.
• Understanding of business processes and ability to integrate security into them.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI.
• Expertise in model lifecycle management and model governance.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy regulations and practices.
• Experience with adversarial AI/ML techniques and mitigation.
