Director of Salesforce Platform

About the role

The Director of Salesforce Platform is the enterprise owner of Ryder’s Salesforce ecosystem. This senior leader defines the vision, operating model, investment priorities and guardrails for Salesforce instances that support core business units. The role is accountable for platform health, security, reliability, data integrity, lifecycle management and delivering sustained business value.

Key responsibilities

• Define a multi‑year Salesforce vision, target‑state architecture, roadmap and investment plan aligned with sales, service and digital strategies.
• Chair and mature the Salesforce Center of Excellence, establishing membership, decision rights, intake processes, prioritization, architecture review, release governance, escalation paths and success metrics.
• Maintain platform health across all instances, overseeing availability, performance, scalability, licensing, release readiness, technical debt, end‑of‑life decisions and operational risk.
• Embed security, privacy, regulatory controls, disaster recovery, continuity planning and production change practices into daily operations.
• Build durable relationships with sales operations, service, product, support, security, architecture, data, integration, infrastructure, risk, finance and procurement leaders.
• Create pragmatic guardrails for configuration, development, integration, data, identity, AI, security, testing, DevSecOps, deployment and support.

Required profile

• Senior enterprise leader with a proven ability to influence and align cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Experience leading a Center of Excellence or similar governance structure.
• Track record of delivering platform governance, security and business value at scale.
• Strong collaborative mindset and ability to translate complex business needs into a coherent roadmap.
