Senior Designer, Women's Wovens

About the role

Everlane is building a first-class design team and is hiring a Designer-level Senior Designer focused on women's wovens: shirting, dresses, casual and tailored bottoms, plus support on technical and tailored outerwear. The role reports to and supports the Women's Design Director and is based at the company's LA headquarters in the Art District. The annual compensation range is $100-130k.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate designs through thorough research and inspirational images, then hand sketch initial ideas and computer sketch final ones
• Create technical packages and work with Raw Materials, Tech and Production teams to ensure optimal product development
• Collaborate with merchandising partners to build a seasonal knowledge of strong, ownable designs and apply it to future products
• Review samples, attend fittings and work with product development, merchandising and production teams
• Help prepare presentations for milestone meetings

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or a closely related design field
• Technical knowledge of wovens construction, both casual and simple tailored
• Preferred: understanding of garment washing and garment dyeing, and experience in technical outerwear
• Graduated from a competitive design school
