Senior Designer – Luxury Fashion

About the role

The Senior Designer will report directly to the Design Director and drive the creative vision for seasonal ready‑to‑wear collections and special projects. This position blends high‑fashion aesthetics with commercial viability, guiding designs from concept through production.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Design Director to develop and execute seasonal collection concepts aligned with brand strategy.
• Lead design development across categories, handling sketching, draping, fabric selection, fittings and final approvals.
• Research trends, vintage references, runway direction and luxury market competitors to inform seasonal direction.
• Create detailed design flats, technical sketches and development packages for product development and production teams.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with merchandising, production, technical design and factories to ensure design integrity and timely execution.
• Participate in fittings, providing clear direction on silhouette, proportion, construction and finishing details.
• Source luxury fabrics, trims, embroideries and embellishments with a strong understanding of elevated materials.
• Mentor and support the Designer and Assistant Designer, fostering a high‑performing team environment.

Required profile

• 6–10+ years of design experience within luxury or contemporary luxury fashion brands.
• Strong background in women’s ready‑to‑wear, especially luxury eveningwear or occasionwear.
• Proven ability to create commercially successful collections while maintaining a high‑fashion aesthetic.
• Exceptional taste, trend awareness and understanding of luxury consumer positioning.
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
