Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI & Large-Scale Modeling

About the role

Lynx Analytics is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead complex data science engagements that blend traditional statistical modelling with Generative AI. You will work hands‑on with massive, heterogeneous datasets, translate ambiguous business problems into rigorous analytical solutions, and communicate results to C‑level stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver end‑to‑end solutions that combine classical modelling, data transformation, and Generative AI/LLM techniques.
• Ingest, transform, model, and validate very large datasets across disparate stores and formats.
• Apply statistical and machine‑learning methods to business challenges such as customer retention, campaign management, and commercial performance optimisation.
• Prepare client‑ready presentations and translate technical work into clear business narratives for senior audiences.
• Lead smaller workstreams, mentor junior data scientists, and collaborate with delivery and account teams to scope problems and manage timelines.
• Create reusable documentation, code libraries, and presentations to accelerate future projects.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in data science with a proven record of leading analytical workstreams independently.
• Advanced degree (MSc or PhD preferred) in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong grounding in probability theory, statistics, and core data‑science algorithms.

Required skills

• Python for data analysis and modelling.
• Deep‑learning frameworks: PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
• SQL and experience with relational, columnar/warehouse, and vector databases.
• Git and GitHub, including branching workflows and code review; familiarity with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD.
• Hands‑on experience building agentic LLM applications using frameworks such as LangGraph, Pydantic AI, AWS Bedrock AgentCore, Google ADK, or the OpenAI Agents SDK.
