Senior Data Platform Engineer, Commercial

About the role

Praxis is expanding the engineering team behind its commercial data foundation. The Senior Data Platform Engineer, Commercial will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines, models, and integrations that enable commercial teams to make data‑driven decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and transformations across Snowflake Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• Integrate data from CRM, field activity, marketing, and external sources while managing schema changes.
• Partner with commercial data owners to translate requirements into reusable data models.
• Build automated data‑quality checks for completeness, freshness, and accuracy, and resolve issues proactively.
• Monitor workloads, troubleshoot failures, support reprocessing and backfills, and implement lasting fixes.
• Deliver reliable data products for analytics, reporting, Streamlit, and AI use cases with appropriate access controls.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering with production Snowflake workloads.
• Strong SQL and Python skills for building maintainable pipelines and automation.
• Proven experience in analytical/dimensional data modeling and reusable semantic models.
• Hands‑on experience integrating APIs, files, or shared datasets and handling schema changes.
• Experience with modern transformation tools such as dbt and automated data‑quality testing.
• Solid Git and collaborative development practices, including peer review and production monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.

• Annual base salary $140,000–$160,000 USD.
