Senior Counsel – Global SME Solutions

About the role

Mastercard is looking for an experienced Senior Counsel to provide end‑to‑end legal support for its Global Commercial and SME Solutions business. The role focuses on the development and commercialization of new payment products and services for small and medium‑size enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Advise SME clients and internal teams on commercial strategy, contract negotiation and risk mitigation.
• Draft, review and negotiate complex customer and vendor agreements, including Master Services, SaaS, software and data licensing contracts.
• Conduct regulatory, compliance, privacy and antitrust assessments for new product launches.
• Support business development initiatives by providing legal input on product sales and partnership agreements.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts to ensure holistic advice across product, regulatory and risk dimensions.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney with several years of experience in commercial and technology law.
• Proven track record of handling complex contracts and advising on payment‑related products.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to assess legal and business risks.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously with cross‑functional teams.
