Senior Controls Engineer

About the role

Clopay Corporation is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer for its Troy, Ohio plant. This on‑site position involves designing, specifying, and managing electrical controls for capital equipment, as well as providing plant‑level support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage capital equipment projects from concept through completion, including scope, budget, schedule, and safety.
• Develop specifications, purchase contracts, and as‑built documentation for equipment and control systems.
• Lead vendor and contractor coordination, provide regular project updates, and ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, ANSI, and NEC codes.
• Start‑up, debug, and integrate new equipment, creating Visual Studio.Net and Python applications as needed.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of engineering experience with a focus on project management and hands‑on plant equipment support.
• BSEE degree and proven experience managing multi‑million‑dollar capital projects.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot equipment, lead matrix teams, and develop plant improvement initiatives.
