About the role
The Senior Compliance Auditor will lead comprehensive audit missions for a global banking operation, ensuring robust risk management and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This role combines hands‑on audit execution with strategic contributions to global projects and transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end audit assignments, including complex, global, and multi‑disciplinary engagements.
- Prepare high‑quality audit reports and executive summaries that communicate findings and actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Participate in ongoing risk‑based monitoring, staying current on internal and external developments that affect audited entities.
- Contribute to the annual audit risk assessment process with professional judgment on business and operational risks.
- Coach and mentor junior audit staff and peers, fostering continuous professional growth.
- Support department‑wide transformation initiatives and improve audit methodology, tools, and processes.
- Engage with senior management and examiners on audit‑related matters.
- Travel up to 5% internationally for client meetings, training, and conferences.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in internal audit and risk management within a banking environment.
- Proven experience identifying key risks, designing controls, and executing complete audit cycles.
- At least 5 years of experience with applicable banking regulations in the US, Canada, or Brazil.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with BSA/AML and OFAC sanctions compliance frameworks.
