Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer – Transportation

About the role

BGC Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Civil/Geotechnical Engineer or Geoscientist to join its Nashville office. The role supports pipeline, transportation, energy and community projects across the eastern United States and collaborates with global teams to deliver innovative earth‑science solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical aspects of pipeline and transportation projects, acting as project engineer or geoscientist.
• Manage project proposals, budgets, schedules, staffing and scope while supervising multidisciplinary teams.
• Organize and supervise field programs, including geohazard investigations, mitigation design and construction monitoring.
• Author and co‑author technical reports and mentor junior staff.
• Engage with clients and partners, contribute to business development and recruiting efforts.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional engineering or geoscience experience, preferably in consulting.
• Post‑graduate degree in Geology, Geological/Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG).
• Proven project management experience in pipeline and/or transportation sectors.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
