Senior Aviation Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Home Depot Store Support Center is hiring a Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician. You will perform aircraft maintenance in line with the manufacturer's recommended program and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), handling routine scheduled and unscheduled work and resolving Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events quickly. You act as an in-house technical expert on aircraft systems and operations, support arrivals and departures including passenger needs, and manage ground support equipment and inventory at the local site.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and aircraft manufacturer inspection requirements and due intervals (10%)
• Perform maintenance, inspection and repair on aircraft with careful attention to detail and proper documentation (40%)
• Handle departure and arrival duties and assist passengers on aircraft and in limousines or taxis (10%)
• Coordinate one aircraft (10%)
• Take part in developing and running training programs (10%)
• Act as Lead Technician or Lead Inspector in your absence (10%)
• Serve as subject matter expert on one model aircraft or advanced avionics (10%)
• Provide technical leadership to a project work team, including training and evaluation

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Preferred: 10 years of experience in business aircraft maintenance
• Preferred: Associate or bachelor's degree in aviation or a related field
• Preferred: FAA Airframe and Powerplant license with Inspection Authorization, Master Tech certification on at least one model aircraft (Dassault Falcon 900/2000EX Easy), and AET certification
• Travel typically under 10% overnight; intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion; occasional exposure to dust, fumes or odors
