Senior Associate – SOX Business Process Controls

About the role

As a Senior Associate in SOX Business Process Controls at PwC, you will support clients across industries by delivering end‑to‑end internal audit services that enhance the credibility of financial statements and internal controls. You will work with AI‑enabled audit tools and collaborate with client teams to assess compliance, governance and risk management processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of internal controls and financial statements to improve reliability.
• Evaluate SOX readiness and SOX/606‑relevant controls, including design and remediation.
• Leverage auditing methodologies and AI platforms to optimise audit delivery.
• Partner with clients to build, co‑source or outsource internal audit functions.
• Analyse financial data, interpret results and provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop and implement business‑process improvements for operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS standards throughout audit engagements.
• Mentor junior team members and manage stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in audit, SOX compliance or related fields.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in ambiguous environments.
