Senior Associate – Field Technical Service Engineer (Surgical)

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to serve as the Digital Field Service Engineer for its surgical ophthalmic equipment. The role focuses on installing, configuring, and maintaining network‑connected devices, ensuring secure connectivity and optimal performance for customers across the southeastern United States.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure connected ophthalmic equipment and associated digital applications.
• Integrate devices with customer networks, enable cloud connectivity and remote monitoring.
• Collaborate with customer IT teams to meet cybersecurity and compliance requirements.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues on site or remotely.
• Provide training to customers and field teams on digital workflows and connected technologies.
• Support product launches, software upgrades, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Work with Field Service Engineers, sales and service leadership to improve equipment uptime and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience in field service or medical device support.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
