Senior Android Engineer

About the role

Whatnot is building the largest livestream shopping platform in North America and Europe. As a Senior Android Engineer you will join the Seller Engineering organization, working on features that empower sellers to grow their businesses and manage inventory at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement high‑quality Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to define goals, scope, and technical trade‑offs.
• Contribute to shared mobile infrastructure and best‑practice guidelines across engineering teams.
• Maintain engineering excellence through code reviews, documentation, and thoughtful discussions.
• Help ensure buyer‑facing surfaces remain accurate and up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping Android applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Comfortable figuring things out independently, outcome‑focused, and curious about product impact.
• Willingness to work from home or from a New York or San Francisco hub.
