Senior Aircraft Technician – MAR (Contract)

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is seeking an experienced helicopter A&P mechanic to join its Maintenance & Repair (MAR) team in Grand Prairie, Texas on a contract basis. The role involves detailed inspections, assemblies, installations, repairs and functional checks of aircraft components and systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections, assembly, installation, repair, replacement, adjustment, and alignment of helicopter parts and components.
• Conduct operational checks and troubleshooting on aircraft systems such as fire protection, fuel, hydraulics, landing gear, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls.
• Participate in flight tests, log work performed, and interface with customers for delivery inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of aviation maintenance experience, with helicopter experience required.
• Current FAA A&P license or ability to qualify for a Repairman Certificate (requires 18 months on Airbus helicopters).
• U.S. person status under ITAR (U.S. citizen, green‑card holder, etc.).

Required skills

• FAA A&P license or Repairman Certificate eligibility.
• Helicopter maintenance and systems troubleshooting.
• Experience with Safran Turbomeca engines (preferred).
