Senior Accounting Associate

About the role

Crisler CPA, a Tennessee tax and accounting services provider with offices in Hendersonville, Brentwood and Tullahoma, is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accounting Associate. The position is primarily in‑office with the possibility to work remotely one to two days per week after an introductory period.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with gathering information from clients, completing assignments and coordinating with accounting staff and managers.
• Monitor and report on engagement status, maintaining open communication with clients and supervisors.
• Set and attend client appointments, assembling information for accounting services.
• Prepare client invoices and manage accounts receivable/payable ledgers.
• Process payroll, handle tax deposits and prepare payroll, sales/use and other state/local tax returns.
• Record accounting transactions, prepare general ledgers and review monthly reconciliations of bank and credit‑card accounts.
• Assist with financial statement preparation and annual wage information returns.
• Make decisions on ordinary accounting matters and contribute to pricing and billing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• CPA license or CPA‑candidate status strongly preferred.
• Minimum four years of recent accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in a CPA firm is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• QuickBooks (Desktop & Online).
• Microsoft Office suite.
