Senior Accountant

About the role

Royal is looking for a proactive, detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join its growing accounting team in Lafayette. The role partners closely with the Controller and project teams to oversee financial activities, billing, and joint‑venture accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Controller with month‑end and year‑end closing, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain QuickBooks records for the joint‑venture entity, including bank and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Lead the billing process, review draft invoices for accuracy, and coordinate with project managers to resolve billing issues.
• Provide project financial analysis, reviewing budgets, WIP, profitability, and billing status.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and develop standard operating procedures.
• Support audits, special accounting projects, and other recurring accounting functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of public accounting experience.
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint or Deltek Vision.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
