Senior Accountant

About the role

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Senior Accountant (Accountant III) to join its finance team. This full‑time position offers a fast‑paced environment where you will support month‑end close, financial analysis, and cross‑functional projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and ensure accurate posting.
• Execute month‑end reporting, account reconciliations, and close activities.
• Analyze balance‑sheet and income‑statement items.
• Provide project assistance and support to the accounting department and other business functions.
• Assist and train team members as needed.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated team player able to interact at all organizational levels.
• Flexibility to work overtime and adapt to changing priorities.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with AS400 and Lawson accounting systems (a plus).
