Senior Accountant

About the role

Docker is seeking a collaborative Senior Accountant to strengthen its accounting operations. You will support the procure‑to‑pay process, monthly and quarterly close, and financial reporting in a fast‑paced SaaS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with monthly and quarterly close, preparing financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Partner with Finance, IT, Tax, Legal, HR, Payroll and other teams to gather data, improve processes and meet business needs.
• Identify and implement AI and automation tools to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.
• Improve financial reporting processes, disclosures and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with US GAAP.
• Support external auditors during annual audits and reviews.
• Assist the Accounting Manager with special projects and ad‑hoc analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally a mix of public accounting and industry roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and experience with financial reporting and close processes.
• Proven experience leveraging AI, automation or advanced technologies to improve accounting workflows.
• Excellent communication, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, meeting tight deadlines.
