Senior Accountant – Hybrid (Houston, TX)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our North Houston oil‑field services company. This hybrid position combines three days on‑site with two days remote work, offering flexibility while supporting critical month‑end and year‑end close activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, including journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements, supporting schedules, and audit documentation.
• Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Analyze account activity and assist with special projects assigned by the VP of Finance.
• Train and mentor Staff Accountants, and help improve accounting systems and processes.

Required profile

• BBA/BS in Accounting (required).
• CPA or CPA‑eligible and actively working toward certification.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, currently in a Senior Accountant role.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with an ERP accounting system.
