Senior Accountant – Global Consolidation & Reporting

About the role

Global Citizen is looking for a hands‑on Senior Accountant to own the integrity of its general ledger, drive multi‑entity consolidation, and produce accurate financial statements for a global nonprofit organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation of domestic and international entities.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules, ensuring completeness and consistency.
• Manage intercompany accounting, including balance reconciliations and elimination entries.
• Handle multi‑currency accounting and foreign‑currency translation for overseas entities.
• Review entity‑level financial data, resolve inconsistencies, and enforce standardized accounting treatments.
• Oversee accounting integration of accounts payable and payroll processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity or nonprofit environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, investigate discrepancies and improve processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
