Security Officer - Front Desk Clearance Required

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer in Colorado Springs, CO, for a front desk position at an aerospace and defense client. The officer welcomes visitors, manages access, verifies credentials and keeps accurate records while supporting a secure, professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors and personnel by carrying out security procedures, site policies and emergency response activities at the front desk.
• Manage visitor reception and access control: verify identification, issue credentials as authorized, maintain visitor logs and direct guests according to site procedures.
• Monitor entry activity, communications systems and security alarms or notifications, escalating unusual activity to the right people.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following reporting and notification procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in line with site requirements.

Required profile

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen as conditions of employment.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
