Security Officer - Entry Management

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer (Entry Management) in Dakota City, Nebraska. The officer works as an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, helping to manage entry points, verify credentials and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Serve employees, visitors and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and keep accurate access logs and records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying the right people.
• Carry out regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas and exterior grounds.
• Report unusual activity, access-control concerns and facility conditions to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.
• Use computer or tablet systems to document security information and communicate professionally with staff and visitors.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state and local law.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Required skills

• Comfort with a computer or tablet is preferred.
