Salt Company Ministry Leader - Male

About the role

This full‑time staff position leads the Salt Company ministry at Cornerstone Church in Ames. Reporting to Tony Lee, the leader is responsible for discipleship, student engagement, and overseeing several ministry teams.

Key responsibilities

• Meet a new student every Thursday night and hold weekly one‑on‑one meetings with 1‑2 students.
• Lead 1‑2 weekly D‑Groups of 4‑8 students and provide leadership to minor teams such as Freshmen, Global, or Church Planting.
• Raise and maintain at least $2,000 in monthly financial support.
• Achieve 90 % or higher on the monthly leader name test.
• Participate in Salt Company Equipping programs and develop preaching skills.
• Complete semesterly seminary classes and attend Cornerstone ministry events, camps, and conferences.
• Undertake two outside preaching or ministry assignments each semester and visit a network church or Salt Company site.

Required profile

• Male candidate who is a committed disciple of Jesus, demonstrating emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
• Active member of Cornerstone Church, willing to attend, serve, give, and live according to church leadership expectations.
• Ability to meet weekly student engagement targets and lead small groups.
• Capacity to raise financial support and fulfill performance metrics.
