Sales Manager – Hotel Sales & Marketing

About the role

The Sales Manager will drive revenue for the Fairfield Inn in Plainville, CT by building strong relationships with local businesses, organizations and travel partners. This role focuses on increasing occupancy and growing group and corporate business through proactive sales efforts and strategic planning.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively solicit new business through cold calling, outside sales calls, networking and referrals.
• Manage and grow existing client relationships to ensure repeat business and high customer satisfaction.
• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet or exceed budgeted revenue goals.
• Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in the CRM system and prepare proposals and contracts.
• Monitor local market trends and competitor activity to identify business opportunities.
• Collaborate with General Manager and Area Sales leadership on promotions, packages and group bookings.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years hotel sales experience, Marriott brand experience a plus.
• Strong knowledge of the Windsor Locks, Hartford or Greater Springfield market.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with sales CRM platforms such as SalesPro, CI/TY or equivalent.
