Sales Engineer (Distribution) Internship

About the role

The Sales Engineer (Distribution) Internship offers a hands‑on experience supporting HydraForce distribution customers. You will act as a liaison between customers and the engineering team, helping to drive sales excellence and product performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support assigned distribution customers and coordinate sales processes.
• Generate and maintain regular reports on key sales metrics.
• Assist application engineering on complex projects, preparing proposals and developing tiered offers.
• Document customer activity and leverage CRM tools to improve relationships.
• Collect, clean, and analyze sales data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to streamline sales processes through data‑driven insights.
• Travel intermittently within the United States as required.

Required profile

• Student entering junior or senior year in mechanical, mechatronic, engineering technology, agriculture, electrical/electronic, or industrial engineering programs.
• Coursework in fluid power or hydraulics is strongly preferred.
• Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus but not required.

Required skills

• Knowledge of fluid power and hydraulics.
• Experience with CRM systems for customer relationship management.
• Ability to collect, clean, and analyze sales data.
• Proficiency in preparing proposals and developing tiered sales offers.
