Sales Development Representative (Rotating Territories)

About the role

This position is designed as a sales development role and will rotate through a number of different territories. The primary responsibility is to fill open territories as needed to maximize sales of supplier brands to the trade, with occasional assistance to the Merchandising Department during heavy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Calls on accounts and creates efficient routing patterns.
• Delivers professional sales presentations, including display ideas, new products, and promotions.
• Maintains product levels by taking inventory and restocking shelves where legal.
• Ensures brand visibility using point‑of‑sale materials.
• Collects payments and processes checks where permissible.
• Provides staff training seminars on brands.
• Handles customer issues, complaints and escalates as needed.
• Tracks account buying patterns and maintains purchase history.
• Achieves distribution, volume and activity goals set by management.
• Manages receivables, processes credits and returns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum two years of sales experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with diplomacy.
• Ability to multitask, work independently or in a team, and meet deadlines.
• Analytical, reporting and problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to hold a Solicitor’s Permit is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using presentation software.
