Sales Development Associate – Chesapeake, VA

About the role

The Sales Development Associate supports Breakthru Beverage’s growth in the Chesapeake/Virginia Beach market by managing routes, selling products, and ensuring merchandising standards. This full‑time position focuses on driving volume and profit across assigned accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Visit and service accounts lacking coverage, establishing efficient routing patterns.
• Plan and execute sales and merchandising strategies based on account buying patterns and pricing information.
• Maintain product inventory on shelves and restock where permitted.
• Maximize brand visibility using current point‑of‑sale materials.
• Handle customer issues, deliver products in challenging situations, and refer escalations to management.
• Collect payments as required and provide extended route coverage when needed.
• Achieve distribution, volume, and activity targets set by management.
• Complete required surveys to ensure national account compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/experience; no prior experience required.
• Basic PC proficiency with MS Office and presentation software.
• Results‑oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently or within a team, and meet deadlines.
• Analytical, reporting, judgment, and problem‑solving abilities.
