About the role
The Safety Manager will support Greystar’s construction projects across the Carolinas by leading safety processes, training teams and fostering an injury‑free culture on site.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections and quarterly project reviews, evaluating organization, curb appeal, safety violations and jobsite office compliance.
- Participate in OSHA inspections, investigate incidents and near‑misses, and report findings to the Regional Safety Manager.
- Identify risks and hazards, develop mitigation plans, and track inspection trends to meet corporate safety objectives.
- Coordinate and deliver on‑site safety training, maintaining the project safety training schedule.
- Ensure compliance with Greystar safety standards, applicable codes, permits and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership on construction sites, building strong relationships with project team members.
Required profile
- Proven experience managing safety on construction projects, preferably in multi‑unit residential or real‑estate environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
- Ability to conduct investigations, produce detailed reports and communicate findings to leadership.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the capacity to influence a safety‑first culture.
