Safety Hazmat Technician – Full-Time

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Safety Hazmat Technician to join its Burlington Township service center. The role involves emergency response, hazardous material cleanup, and site remediation on a full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to emergency incidents and conduct hazardous and non‑hazardous material clean‑up.
• Perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Audit incoming and outgoing hazardous material shipments for compliance.
• Maintain safety documentation, containerize waste, and follow R+L safety procedures.
• Set up and participate in live training events to ensure personnel competency.
• Coach co‑workers on unsafe behaviors and support specialized projects as required.

Required profile

• 40‑hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 75 lb.
• Ability to work under high pressure in a fast‑paced, team‑supported environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to report issues promptly.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and participate in scheduled projects.

Required skills

• OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience operating emergency‑response tools and equipment.
