Router Supervisor – Inbound Operations

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Router Supervisor to lead inbound dock and dispatch operations at our Alexandria, IN service center. This full‑time position offers a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and quality freight handling are paramount.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate dock operations and driver/freight‑handler scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality freight‑handling procedures.
• Oversee timely dispatch of LTL loads.
• Manage driver and freight‑handler teams, providing direction and support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Required profile

• Proven basic leadership experience, preferably in LTL logistics.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and logistical problem‑solving abilities.
• Familiarity with the local area and surrounding regions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

What we offer

• Full‑time, Monday‑Friday schedule with various shift options.
• Annual salary range $60,000‑$70,000.
• One week of vacation after 90 days of employment.
