RN - Workplace Violence Prevention

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to lead its Workplace Violence Prevention program. The RN will work within the ISS department to develop, implement, and monitor strategies that protect staff, patients, and visitors from violent incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Assess clinical areas for potential violence risks and conduct regular safety audits.
• Develop and deliver training on de‑escalation techniques and violence prevention policies.
• Respond to reported incidents, coordinate investigations, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and update prevention protocols.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations related to workplace safety.

Required profile

• Current RN license and active employment with UAMS (or eligibility to be hired).
• Proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
• Strong understanding of clinical environments and patient care workflows.
