RN Weekender Flex (Nights) – Pediatric Epilepsy Monitoring

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute is expanding its pediatric epilepsy unit and seeks a Registered Nurse to provide night‑time care on a 15‑bed unit. This Weekender Flex position offers 36 hours of work per week with pay for 44 hours and full‑time benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to children with epilepsy and complex medical needs during night shifts.
• Implement, monitor, and update individualized patient care plans.
• Administer medications, record patient responses, and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and families about treatment, medication, and discharge planning.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience (military experience considered).
• Ability to work night shifts and handle the physical demands of patient care.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in acute care nursing procedures and medication administration.
• Knowledge of pediatric epilepsy and neurological nursing care.
