RN Surgery Weekender Flex – Surgical Float Pool

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus as a Registered Nurse in the Surgical Float Pool, working diverse surgical units on a weekend‑focused schedule. You will provide safe, compassionate care throughout the surgical journey, supporting patients and the operating team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care to adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions, selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions, monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist the operating physician with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
• Prepare the operating room, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire.
• At least one year of RN experience or completion of Cleveland Clinic peri‑operative residency.
