RN Surgery Resident – General Surgery

About the role

Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus as an RN Surgery Resident in the General Surgery operating rooms. You will work in a dynamic, team‑focused environment caring for patients undergoing complex procedures, including GI, colorectal, oncology, bariatric, transplant and advanced robotic surgeries.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and support patients before surgery.
• Maintain a safe and organized sterile environment.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during procedures.
• Advocate for patients while under anesthesia.
• Provide education and communication to patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• New graduate or less than one year acute direct care experience.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
