About the role

The RN Supervisor for the Acute Medical Stepdown Unit leads a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced hospital environment. You will coordinate, delegate, and supervise nursing interventions while ensuring efficient discharge planning and resource utilization.

Key responsibilities

Design, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions for individual patients and cohorts.
Coordinate clinical operations on the unit and communicate critical issues to leadership.
Supervise licensed nurses, patient care technicians, and other health professionals.
Serve as a liaison between staff, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and the Unit Director.

Required profile

Registered Nurse diploma; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast‑paced, stressful clinical setting.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
