RN Interventional Radiology

About the role

The Interventional Radiology RN provides nursing care for patients undergoing minimally invasive, image‑guided vascular and non‑vascular procedures at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. The role involves procedural support, patient monitoring, sedation administration, and collaboration with the physician and procedural team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with a wide range of procedures including central line placement, angiograms, angioplasty, embolization, drain placements, biliary and nephrostomy interventions, and tumor‑directed therapies.
• Provide procedural nursing support, monitor patients during procedures, administer and monitor sedation, and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Perform nursing assessments, document findings, notify physicians of abnormal results, and coordinate discharge planning.
• Participate in telephone triage, call rotations, and cover other nursing roles as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• One year of recent RN experience (or two years LPN experience in the same department).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire for moderate sedation procedures.

Required skills
