RN Ambulatory – Radiation Oncology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in its ambulatory Radiation Oncology department. The RN will provide direct patient care, support families, and contribute to a high‑volume cancer treatment environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, including assessments, telephone triage, and care planning.
• Administer medications and radiation treatments, assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and operate specialized equipment.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures, notify physicians or LIPs of abnormal findings, and cover additional nursing roles as needed.
• Develop and document health education for patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• At least one year of recent nursing experience; internal Cleveland Clinic caregivers may substitute LPN/MA experience under specific conditions.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
• Cancer‑specific certification or ongoing qualifying education aligned with facility accreditation cycles.
