Revenue Accounting Manager

About the role

You will own the end‑to‑end revenue accounting process, from contract signature through cash collection, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and accurate financial reporting for a fast‑growing SaaS company.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts, amendments and upsells; document performance obligations, transaction price, variable consideration and SSP positions in audit‑ready memos.
• Own the monthly revenue close, including revenue, deferred revenue, contract asset schedules, flux analysis and reconciliations from the billing subledger to the general ledger.
• Manage commission capitalization and amortization under ASC 340‑40.
• Maintain billing data integrity from CRM opportunity to invoice to revenue schedule and design order‑to‑cash controls with Sales and Revenue Operations.
• Oversee outsourced AR specialist, handling invoicing accuracy, collections escalation, credit memos and billing disputes.
• Lead revenue‑cycle audit support, preparing PBC schedules, walkthroughs, disclosures and defending technical positions with auditors.
• Build and maintain revenue policy and process documentation as the company scales.

Required profile

• CPA certification (required).
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years of hands‑on SaaS or software revenue recognition.
• Deep, applied knowledge of ASC 606 for complex arrangements (multi‑element, usage‑based, ELAs, modifications, variable consideration).
• Experience supporting external audits of the revenue cycle, preferably including IPO‑readiness.
• Multi‑entity or international billing exposure, including multi‑currency and cross‑border invoicing.
