Respiratory Therapist – Cystic Fibrosis & Bronchiectasis Center

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join its multidisciplinary Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis Center. The role blends direct respiratory care with patient education, care coordination, and advocacy for high‑risk adult and pediatric patients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Spirometry and Nasal Nitric Oxide testing and provide targeted outreach to patients with ongoing respiratory needs.
• Coordinate respiratory care plans, educate patients and families, monitor compliance, and update care plans.
• Set up nebulizer treatments, demonstrate medication administration, and order equipment and prior authorizations.
• Collaborate with inpatient Respiratory Therapy, primary care, and multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate inhaled therapies and airway clearance during hospital admissions.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement and act as a liaison between patients, families, and the care team.
• Perform blood gas puncture and analysis where applicable.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree with three years of Respiratory Therapy experience or Bachelor’s degree with two years of experience, including critical care or specialty setting.
• Graduates of a CoARC‑accredited program and current RRT credential through NBRC.
• Current Ohio Respiratory Care Professional licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification.
