Respiratory Care Limited Permit – Pulmonary

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Respiratory Care Limited Permit holder to provide basic respiratory care for adult and pediatric patients on the Main Campus. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience under the guidance of a Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Key responsibilities

• Perform respiratory therapy assessments under supervision.
• Provide basic respiratory therapy modalities to adult and pediatric patients.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
• Attend in‑service education lectures, programs, seminars, and other educational opportunities.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Actively enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or on‑the‑job trainee (pre‑1986).
• Must possess a current temporary limited permit to practice Respiratory Care (RCLP‑L1) in Ohio.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift 50 lb, and perform tasks requiring hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Prior experience in critical care, neonatal/pediatric care, or invasive procedures is preferred.

Required skills

• Current temporary limited permit to practice Respiratory Care (RCLP‑L1).
• Ability to operate respiratory therapy equipment and perform basic respiratory procedures.
