Residential Patrol Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring a full-time Security Officer for residential patrol in Los Angeles, CA. The officer serves and safeguards clients across a range of industries, including residential, by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, keeping a visible presence to deter incidents and providing customer service to residents and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors and property staff by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, resident concerns, access issues and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas and perimeters to spot and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity and building entry procedures according to site requirements.
• Document incidents, observations and completed patrols and share relevant information with site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and a drug screen, as permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required depending on state and local laws.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
