Research Technician II – Fawzi Lab

About the role

The Fawzi Lab at Cleveland Clinic studies molecular mechanisms of angiogenesis and fibrovascular proliferation in ischemic retinopathies using mouse models. The Research Technician II will support experimental studies, manage analyses, and prepare data for publication.

Key responsibilities

• Perform laboratory techniques and procedures for assigned experimental studies.
• Schedule and conduct various analyses, including preparation of reagents and purification of chemicals.
• Operate laboratory equipment and instrumentation, collect data, and create charts, graphs, and statistical tables.
• Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining lab inventory.
• Support the research staff in preparing results for grant proposals and publications.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED with two years of lab experience, OR Associate’s degree with one year experience, OR Bachelor’s degree.
• Comfortable handling small animals in an academic research setting.
• Good near visual and color acuity; ability to follow safety and PPE protocols.
