Research Facility Manager

About the role

The Research Facility Manager will coordinate and manage operations, scheduling, and compliance for the Animal Reproduction and Biotechnology Building at Texas A&M RELLIS Innovation and Technology campus. This 12‑month position supports multiple research projects, teaching, and extension activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage research projects, including planning, design, and implementation.
• Write and oversee animal care and IBC protocols, ensuring ethical compliance.
• Maintain livestock, provide user training, and keep training records current.
• Handle inventory, order supplies, and manage lab space utilization.
• Assist with billing, budgeting, report writing, data analysis, and manuscript preparation.
• Coordinate building and equipment maintenance and repairs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's (5 yrs), Master's (3 yrs), or Ph.D. (1 yr) in Animal Science, Reproductive Physiology, or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a publication record.
• Strong organizational, team‑building, and project‑management abilities.
• Professional demeanor and ability to multitask and collaborate.
