Research Engineer – Adaptive Intelligence

About the role

Liquid Labs is seeking a Research Engineer to push the boundaries of adaptive, efficient AI. You will work within a small, high‑impact team to translate cutting‑edge research into production‑ready systems that run on resource‑constrained devices.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement novel neural architectures, training pipelines, and inference strategies.
• Collaborate with core foundation model and systems teams to integrate research outcomes into deployed products.
• Publish technical reports and papers in top‑tier venues, and release open‑source model artifacts.
• Benchmark and evaluate models for efficiency, scalability, and real‑world performance.

Required profile

• Strong track record of publications in tier‑1 conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ACL, etc.).
• Experience moving from research papers to working prototypes quickly.
• Passion for transparent, reproducible science and open research.
• Ability to thrive in a small, deep‑technical team where impact is immediate.

Required skills

• Fluent programming in Python.
• Proficiency with deep‑learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
• Hands‑on experience with machine‑learning research and production‑grade ML systems.
