Remote Talent Screener – Candidate Screening Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Remote Talent Screener to evaluate every candidate handed off by our Talent Sourcers and conduct live video screening interviews. The role ensures that only qualified applicants progress to the next hiring stage while maintaining data hygiene in our applicant tracking system.

Key responsibilities

• Screen candidates from Talent Sourcers without re‑qualifying them before scheduling.
• Review applicants from all other sources against knockout criteria and success profiles.
• Advance qualified applicants to screening interviews and escalate borderline cases to Recruiters.
• Complete review decisions within three days and record outcomes in the ATS.
• Conduct live video screening interviews using approved guides and scorecards.
• Ask unscripted follow‑up questions, adapt communication style to each candidate, and answer role‑related queries.
• Maintain consistent question sets, scoring, and disposition codes across high‑volume reviews.
• Ensure ATS data hygiene, deduplication, and compliance with retention and privacy requirements.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured screening processes.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to diverse accents and industry terminology.
• Ability to make quick, data‑driven decisions and flag quality issues to Talent Acquisition leadership.
• Comfortable working Monday‑Friday, 9 AM‑5 PM PST in a fully remote environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for reviewing, scoring, and dispositioning candidates.
• Experience using video conferencing platforms for live interview sessions.
